In my experience, sometimes it is caused by a conflict with another program. Sometimes it is also caused by corruption of certain files when resetting windows, or using registry cleaners and the like, or any programs that modify pc settings.

In any case, try to restore to factory defaults do make usb os recovery image using the dell os recovery tool app to fully restore your system back to when it was installed in the factory.

Then install GeForce experience and it automatically looks for the latest driver and prompts you to install. Everything should go smoothly after that. As a general rule, do not install apps that you do not really absolutely need such as registry modifiers, registry cleaners or those that are supposed to "make your pc run faster".

Here is how I fixed my issue: 1. Download latest Nvidia Driver 2. Download Display Driver Uninstaller 3. Pause windows updates, and turn off networking 4.

Reboot to safe mode 5. Run DDU and select clean Nvidia and restart 6. Install downloaded Nvidia driver 7. Turn on networking and Windows Updates 8. Post Reply. Top Contributor.
