Google apps wont download apple

Google maps became wonky and I deleted it. Now unable to download it from App store. Have confirmed that there's suffiicient memory. Tried closing app store and forced restart. Same thing still happening-- little download symbol cloud with downward pointing arrow blinks and then reappears without the download beginning.

Now I have I phone 6 plus I have had suntrust mobile app since it's been available it said I had to go to app store to upgrade new version before I could use it and it won't allow me to use it tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it it just sits they're please help.
